Looking from the perspective of depth, Z-Axis considers time, human connections, the heavenly realm, and memories’ ability to Horcrux themselves to objects. Dust to dust or sublime sovereignty. Embroidery of my late grandmother's navy buttons ebb and flow to create the architecture of the hand from 'The Creation of Adam', looking for connection with the canvas skinned arm of the divine creator.
Nathanael Myers, born in Glendale, Arizona, is a creator and mover from the Sonoran Desert. Myers’ work has been shown in a solo exhibition at the Lionel-Rombach Gallery in Tucson, Arizona, and in various national group exhibitions including the Tucson Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art - Tucson, and at Christie’s Auction House in New York City. This project was featured through a video documentary by Arizona Public Media. Markedly, his awards include the 2018 Buffalo Exchange Community Arts Award, for his work as an artist and arts administrator, by the Community Foundation for Southern Arts, a Professional Development Grant by the Arizona Commission of the Arts, and multiple scholarships through UrbanGlass, Brooklyn, New York.
