Artwork Details

“The world needs sustainability and it needs solutions in many life areas which are sustainable to people and the planet we inhabit. We need to find sustainable solutions which make us move forward and not backwards in our development and evolution. The consequences of accumulative economic growth has its consequences on our wellbeing, and the wellbeing of other species and our planet.

I have a belief in the power and importance of compassion in today's world.

If we would develop our sense of interconnectedness with all beings and living things, and develop our compassionate hearts, perhaps our hearts would develop to include not just ourselves and our close ones, but also communities, countries, the planet and the whole. Compassion could then be the thread weaving ourselves, each other and all life together. This interconnections with all things and the compassion weaving all interconnectedness together is the theme I want my artwork to reflect”

Artist Bio

Artist statement:

The world needs sustainability and solutions in many areas which are sustainable to us, other beings and the planet we inhabit. We need to find sustainable solutions which make us move forward and not backwards in our evolution and development. The consequences of accumulative economic growth has it’s grave consequences not only on our own wellbeing, but also the wellbeing of other species and our planet.

I have a belief in the power and importance of compassion in today's world.

If we would develop a stronger sense of interconnectedness between eachother, between us and other species and the natural world and between us and our precious planet, perhaps then we would become more considerate to ourselves, other human beings, other species and the planet as a whole. We would feel a responsibility for the whole because it felt connected to us and we would feel connected to it.

If we would in addition to developing a stronger sense of interconnectedness also develop our compassionate hearts, as a counteract to an ever increasing ignorance and greed, perhaps our hearts would include not just ourselves and our close ones as family and friends, but also communities, countries, the planet and the whole. Compassion could then become the thread weaving ourselves, each other and all life together. This interconnection with all living things and our compassion weaving us and them intricately together is what I want my artwork to reflect
