Artwork Details

Work depicting the downward, cyclic nature of domestic violence and tokens of atonement given by abusers. To wit:

After the argument
An extension of abuse
Accepting, I signal my aggressor
“Yes, you own me. I know my place.”
Repayment demanded in intimate favors
The cost of such lavishes
Is lost dignity
Abandoned Self
And I remain
Invalid
