The work portrays the various phases, stages in a relationship.The different kinds of a relationship between two people.How incomplete are they without each other?How this nature made two such different yet such similar emotional beings.Be it platonic or of that of lovers, it captures a variety of shades, hues and colors. One of the most beautiful yet the most unpredictable relationships i see, the most interesting yet the most beautiful relationship i see.Living by the way of minimalism in all walks of life,i feel relationships are a blessing and in some or the other way always teach, always.The various phases and stages in a romantic relationship including the love, the infatuation, the attraction, the attachment, the detachment, the chase, the falling out of love, the hurt, the joy, the pleasure, the contentment, the remorse, the distance, the restlessness, the completeness, the incompleteness, the yearnings, the memories are voiced by these quotes i write that come to me by self.

Artist Bio

Astha is an artist based in the beautiful land of India. She works on emotions, relationships, society and an intervention of how a human interacts with the nature.

Most works are on acrylic on wood and some on oil on canvas.



She is an electronics engineer by degree, a writer by passion and an artist by profession.
She went to a boarding school at a young age and learnt her first lessons of individuality there.
Having been travelling from an early age she believes in exploring the unseen, the unsaid & the unexperienced.
She has a huge never ending love for life and believes in living each moment to its fullest.
Having backpacked most of India from the mountains to the hidden villages of north east and the backpacking paradises of our own country.
Her art is very personal to her and she works on topics close to her heart.
Having had her last art show at the India habitat centre which was based on the relationship of women with her own society.
She is currently working on an abstract series based on freedom..She loves to read extensively, watch people for a hobby and writing for her is a natural process to express her thoughts, renditions of her heart and soul.

Her She & He series recently had an art exhibit where she combined her love for painting and writing together to showcase the man-woman relationship.

She is also a performance artist and chose art for it is limitless.
